Tallahassee, FL― Capital Regional Medical Center is proud to continue to advance emergency care in Gadsden County. Both the Gadsden County Board of Commissioners and Gadsden Hospital Inc., had the foresight and vision to ensure continued access to lifesaving emergency care. They recently voted in favor to extend the contract with Capital Regional Medical Center to provide 24/7 emergency services in Gadsden County another 15 years.
In 2010, Capital Regional Medical Center partnered with Gadsden County and opened the emergency room in the Gadsden Memorial Hospital. Before the Gadsden ER opened, EMS personnel had to take patients to Tallahassee for treatment. Not only was this dangerous for those experiencing life-threatening emergencies, it was expensive.
"We offer our full support of Capital Regional Medical Center. The health and well-being of our citizens remains our priority," says Herb Sheheane, Chairman of Gadsden Hospital Inc.
Emergency care is available 24/7/365 for all ages. Area residents receive the same quality, efficient emergency care they would receive at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee. We treat everything from heart attacks to strokes. The emergency room is staffed by highly trained emergency room physicians, nurses and technicians offering expert emergency care, lab services, pharmacy, x-ray and CT.
