Tallahassee, FL ― Capital Regional Medical Center is now using iMobile, a smartphone platform that allows nurses, doctors and other clinicians to connect and share patient information securely, efficiently and immediately.
The iMobile application gives caregivers the ability to send secured text messages, initiate phone calls, view a list of contacts and send broadcasts to the patient care team. Since this team is the patient's most valuable resource while in the hospital, secure coordination using a smartphone loaded with the iMobile application is expected to improve the quality of patient care.

And a more-efficient team has the opportunity to deliver a safer, more successful patient experience," said Ann Smith, Chief Nursing Officer at Capital Regional Medical Center. "This is just another way we can fulfill our mission, which is the care and improvement of human life."
HCA recently announced the signing of an agreement to purchase Mobile Heartbeat, iMobile's developer. Mobile Heartbeat technology solutions consolidate clinical communications, including alarms and notifications, patient information and lab data, secure texting, voice and photography.
