Hip Pain Causes and Treatments
January 27, 2012
Tallahassee, FL - Many people suffer from regular hip pain which drastically impacts their quality of life. However, new treatment methods, like minimally invasive surgical techniques, can correct problems with a shorter hospital stay and less rehabilitation than other treatment options. Capital Regional Medical Center is presenting a free seminar called “Healthy Hips for a Happy Life” featuring local orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Jason Oberste.
People who suffer from hip pain often find that the soreness in their surrounding muscles, like the knee, groin, rear and thigh, greatly impacts their mobility. Some patients experience difficulty with basic daily activities like climbing stairs, sleeping at night and bending down to tie their shoes.
“The minimally invasive surgical options open to patients with orthopedic issues are numerous,” says Dr. Oberste. “There truly is no reason for a person to suffer through hip pain when we have such great resources to treat it.”
“Healthy Hips for a Happy Life” is Thursday, January 26 at 6 p.m. in the first floor conference room at Capital Regional Medical Center. Free valet parking is available and refreshments will be provided. To register for the free event, call 325-3627 or visit CapitalRegionalMedicalCenter.com.
