Capital Regional to Launch Digital Baby Billboard Program
December 10, 2012
Tallahassee, FL – A picture can say a thousand words, and now some parents who deliver their baby at Capital Regional Medical Center will be able to share their new baby’s picture with all of Tallahassee.
“We think this is a great way for families to celebrate the birth of their new baby in a unique way,” says Ann McClean, RN, BSN, Women’s & Children’s Service Line Administrator at Capital Regional.
The way the free program works is that every day a new baby born at the Capital Regional Family Center will be featured for 24 hours at a time. The billboard features the baby’s picture as well as his or her first name. The baby featured will have already been discharged from the hospital, giving both mom and dad the chance to enjoy having their little one welcomed to the community.
“Many parents will love this program because their neighbors and friends can drive by the billboard and see the new addition,” says McClean.
In addition to the billboards, Capital Regional features the “Baby of the Day” on its website www.CapitalRegionalMedicalCenter.com.
“We have a lullaby bell that we push every time a baby is born at our hospital so we are always looking for new ways to celebrate with the family and this is just another way to help share parents’ joy,” says McClean.
